Unearth Your Next Adventure: Summer Reading 2026 Kicks Off Saturday!

Ready to dig into something awesome this summer? The 2026 "Unearth A Story" Summer Reading Program at the Nancy Guinn Memorial Library is officially here, and we are ready to celebrate!

Don't miss the ultimate Summer Reading Kick-off Party! Bring the whole crew for a day of pure fun:

When: Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The Fun: Face painting, games, music, sidewalk chalk art, crafts, and free refreshments!

Registration is already open for ages 0–19. You can sign up right now on the Beanstack App or grab a classic paper log at the library.

For Kids (Ages 0–12)

  • The Challenge: Track your reading minutes on Beanstack. Hit 30 hours of reading this summer to score an entry into our grand prize drawing!

  • Read on the Go: Heading out for vacation? Check out eRead Kids on our website for thousands of free eBooks and audiobooks you can access anywhere with your library card.

For Teens (Ages 13–19)

  • The Vibe: Complete cool challenges, score awesome prizes, and vibe in the library's dedicated Teen Area—the perfect spot to read, relax, and connect with friends.
