View the Zoo Atlanta DVD and receive a free family pass to Zoo Atlanta! After viewing, patrons will receive a Zoo Atlanta Family Pass receipt, which should be presented at the Zoo Atlanta front gate for admission. The pass is valid for 4 general admission tickets and is valid for 28 days from the date the Zoo Atlanta DVD is returned to the owning library. The DVD must be returned within 7 days of check-out in good condition. The pass is valid for general admission only and may not be used for free-based events or programs. Not valid with any other discount, offer or promotion; may not be redeemed for cash. Georgia families can now pay a free visit to Big Bird, the Fraggles, Wayland Flowers’ Madame, and a host of other popular puppet characters by using a library card. The “Passport to Puppetry” is valid for up to 4 free museum admissions. Parties with children must include at least one adult. The museum provides educational fun with more than 350 puppets from around the world, highlighting the fact that every civilization on our planet has its own unique form of puppetry tradition. In addition to 4 free museum admissions, the pass also entitles library patrons to attend a performance at the Center and/or participate in a Create-a-Puppet Workshop at a 25%, when space is available. Patrons must have a valid PINES card to obtain Passport to Puppetry passes. No holds are permitted on this pass.
Georgians with public library cards can check out a Georgia State Park “ParkPass” and Historic Site Pass. The ParkPass exempts you from paying the daily $5 parking fee at state parks, and the Historic Sites Family Pass exempts up to 2 visitors from admission fees to historic sites operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Georgia residents can now check out a stuffed backpack kit at any of the state’s 400-plus public libraries, and in combination with an already available state ParkPass, take it with them on a free visit to any of Georgia’s State Parks & Historic Sites. The loan period for the backpack kit is one week, matching that of the ParkPasses, which must be checked out separately. Patrons must have a valid PINES library card to check out the Georgia State Park backpack kits. No holds are permitted on this backpack. Each co-branded kit includes a sturdy, five-pocket backpack containing a pair of 5×30 binoculars, a guide to Georgia’s State Parks & Historic Sites and foldout Pocket Naturalist Guides to Georgia Wildlife, Georgia Birds and Georgia Trees & Wildflowers.
The Michael C. Carlos Museum Family Pass is a partnership with Georgia Public Library Service and the Michael C. Carlos Museum. Passes check out for 7 days and allow free admission for up to 6 visitors to the Michael C. Carlos Museum. Patrons must have a valid PINES library card to obtain the Michael C. Carlos Museum passes. The Go Fish Education Center takes visitors on an educational journey through Georgia’s watersheds to learn about our diverse aquatic wildlife, their natural habitats and the impacts of water pollution.
