Friends of the library

The Friends are concerned citizens who share the belief that a strong public library is a valuable intellectual, cultural, educational, and recreational resource in the community. These library supporters act as community liaisons to elected officials, library administration, and trustees.

Book Sales

Visit the Friends of the Nancy Guinn Library bookstore, located on the lower level of the Nancy Guinn Memorial Library, every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10:30am -2:00pm. The Friends Bookstore is accessible from the back of the library (Travis St. entrance) or from the lower level entrance doors (follow the sidewalk to the 3rd door). Prices range between .50 cents for children’s paperbacks to $2.00 for most adult hardbacks, with more recent hardbacks or over-sized/larger books costing a little more.

Books are also available for sale daily on the main floor of the library from the Friends Book Carts, located near the Circulation Desk and Adult Services Department Desk. Money raised by selling these gently used books provides funding for programs and other extras that benefit the library and its patrons.

Visit the friends on their Facebook page @ Friends of Nancy Guinn Library to learn more about this great organization and how to become a library friend! The friends meet at the library every third Thursday of every month and all are welcome to attend! Contact library administration at 770 388 5040 ext, 123 for more information.
